For immediate release.

YMCA of Greater Toronto

In 2021, Precise ParkLink’s partnership with the city of Vaughan came to fruition with a successfully deployed on-street parking pilot program within the city’s emerging downtown— the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC). To support the continued growth of the VMC community and the organizations within it, Precise ParkLink is proud to have recently implemented and launched parking validations to support the YMCA of Greater Toronto’s child care program and pick-up and drop-off (PUDO) visitor experience.

The YMCA of Greater Toronto works to promote equity and boost well-being in the Greater Toronto Area by offering various community programs, including child care.

Andrew Sgorlon, Client Relations Manager at Precise ParkLink, explains, "The new parking validation program at the YMCA will make it easier for those picking up and dropping off their loved ones enjoying extra-curricular activities at the YMCA. Beginning August 2022, PUDO guests are now eligible for 20 minutes of complimentary parking on Buttermill Avenue with a simple QR code scan and input of their license plate.”

The YMCA’s parking validation program is available for PUDO on Buttermill Avenue. The program requires drivers to scan a QR code and input their license plate to register for 20 minutes of complimentary parking.

QR codes are displayed on signage or cards at the YMCA front desk. Once visitors scan the QR code from their mobile device, they are prompted to enter their license plate. Their vehicle is registered for 20 minutes of complimentary parking and verified within a cloud-based parking enforcement system.

For over 30 years, Precise ParkLink has managed municipal parking solutions across Canada, providing services to millions of residents and visitors. We look forward to continuing to deploy convenient parking and mobility solutions for the city of Vaughan and community organizations like the YMCA that allow us to play, learn, and shine— together.
